Libya calls for all Middle East nuclear facilities to be placed under IAEA safeguards
Libya has renewed its call for the establishment of a Middle East zone free of nuclear weapons and all other weapons of mass destruction. The call came in a statement delivered by Abdullah Al-Atwi, second secretary at Libya’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, during the general debate of the First Committee at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
