جاءت عملية الإنقاذ في أعقاب تقرير تلقته شعبة خفر السواحل من طاقم السفينة عن حريق على متنها. استجابت الفرق المتخصصة على الفور، وحددت موقع السفينة وأنقذت جميع أفراد الطاقم البالغ عددهم 22.
